After many rumours, movements of registrations and patents and intentions, Capcom has officially announced Onimusha: Warlords, the remastering of the first video game of the Onimusha saga. The title is scheduled for January 15, 2019, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and will arrive in Europe only in digital format with a price of 19.99 euros on all platforms. In the United States will also be released in physical format on PS4 and Xbox One.
This instalment is about a remastering of the video game released in 2001, Onimusha: Warlords, which mixed action with a film story set in feudal Japan, managed to sell 2 million copies worldwide in its premiere on PlayStation 2. This edition will feature with updated features, including high-resolution graphics, widescreen option, analogue stick compatibility, an easy mode and new soundtrack.
The game will tell us about the adventures of Samanosuke Akechi and the ninja Kaede in his crusade to save the princess Yuki from a mysterious legion of demons that have invaded the Inabayama castle. Soon, and while they are integrated into the fortress, they will discover a plot formed by the followers and acolytes of the king of the underworld, Nobunaga Oda. With a unique gameplay, in which we used our katana and magic glove ONI, as well as numerous puzzles, Onimusha ended up becoming a game and a cult saga.
