Insomniac Games has worked very hard to offer its own version of Spider-Man. Instead of focusing on adopting a film or a comic in particular, the team, which has claimed to work in freedom, has designed its own narrative and mythological reality for treasures. The level of quality is such, and the importance of this production is so great for Marvel, that the company will consider it a canon within the multiverse of the Casa de las Ideas publishing house.
The executive producer of Marvel Games, William Roseman, has been cited by the official account of PlayStation UK on Twitter stating that, as many expected, Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 will have its own corner within the Marvel multiverse being canonical and official. Peter Parker's version will have its own Earth or reality, just as one could venture into other properties of the comic book publisher.
"This is a character that everyone likes, but what I wanted to do at the beginning when I was reading the comics, watching the movies and playing all the games was forgetting it," says screenwriter Jon Paquette. "We want it to be our own universe," the writer declared a few days ago. Seeing the level of dedication, Marvel wanted to reward the study with this classification.
